Dusseldorf A shortage of skilled workers, delivery problems, strict bureaucratic rules and uncertainties about long-term energy policy are making the environment in Germany increasingly unattractive for companies in the construction industry. In the USA, however, the technological potential for German construction suppliers is great – since their construction standards and product quality are in greater demand on the US market.

According to Haeusgen, around two thirds of the 350 member companies surveyed want to strengthen their own service and sales in the USA, 37 percent plan to expand their production and 18 percent also want to expand design and development there. The most important reason given by the entrepreneurs is the size of the market in the USA.
