Snow ‘bomb cyclone’ freezes US for Christmas

The United States is living an unusual Christmas in terms of weather. A ‘bomb cyclone’ has been freezing the country for several days, causing strong squalls, electrical storms and record temperatures. This phenomenon occurs when the atmospheric pressure drops drastically and a mass of cold air collides with a mass of warm air.
