When we think of a mine, concepts such as modernity, technology or sustainability rarely come to mind. But today’s mining operations are very different from those in which civilizations such as the Phoenicians, Tartessians or Romans worked.

Currently, the legendary Rio Tinto mine is an example of progress and modernity, as it will become the first mine in Spain to have a photovoltaic self-consumption facility, with 75,000 solar panels.
